World class shone through at Barbury with Australian and British Olympic team riders dominating - and Australia's Lucinda Fredrericks taking top honours.

Lucinda (riding her 2007 Badminton winner, Headley Britannia) stayed out in front to take the 2008 St James's Place Barbury International Horse Trials.

Australian International rider Andrew Hoy successfully deputised for his wife Bettina on Rutherglen to take a comfortable victory in the five-year-old section of the Burghley Loddon Young Event Horse qualifier.

Banbury based Sally Taylor and Quandro headed the four-year-old Burghley Loddon Young Event Horse (BLYEH) Qualifier held at The St James’s Place Barbury International Horse Trials, the first qualifier in the 21-years of the series to be held at the Wiltshire venue.  For full story go to our news page.

The VWH Hunt fought off strong competition from 17 other teams to win the senior section of Barbury's first evenr Inter-Hunt Team Relay on Sunday 6 July; taking home a £500 prize.  Barbury's 'home' hunt, the Tedworth, took Junior team honours.
