Wiltshire County Show

Wiltshire County Show comes to Barbury for 2010

Wiltshire County Show

Barbury Castle Horse Trials will this year be hosting the Wiltshire County Show on Sunday July 11.

The Show's aim will be to demonstrate the vital role that farming and food production play in Wiltshire and the wider community.  It will be fun and informative with plenty to see and do for all the family.

There will be rural crafts, food exhibitions, cookery, heavy horses, the latest tractors and farm equipment.

Black Knights Parachute Team

We are also delighted that the Army will also be at the Show with their superb exhibits and attractions which will include the Wiltshire based Black Knights Parachute team, an assault course, paintballing and much more.

Fawcetts are proud sponsors of the Black Knights Parachuting Team at The Wiltshire County Show.

Agriculture and the Army have historic ties to Wiltshire.  We must never forget the lives given to protect our country, and we hope to raise a substantial sum of money for SSAFA (soldiers, sailors and airmen families association) who are celebrating their 125th anniversary this year.

Children Under 12 Free!

The entrance fee which gives access to both the Horse Trials and the County Show is £15 per person with children under 12 free.  If you book your tickets in advance, you can enjoy a discount of £3 per ticket.

Nigel Bunter the owner of Barbury Castle Estate said “It has always been our aim to grow the event and provide a wider family day out and we are thrilled to be hosting the Wiltshire County Show in 2010”.
