There is so much to Barbury. 2016 will be even bigger and better than ever.
Set in a natural amphitheatre formed by the beautiful Marlborough Downs, Barbury offers probably the best views of a cross-country circuit – anywhere. The course has been designed by Mark Philips to test the skills and courage of the world’s finest horses and riders.
2016 marks the 12th anniversary of the horse trials and is a major year as Barbury is the 3rd leg of the exciting new Event Rider Masters series with the world’s top 40 riders competing at Barbury for a prize pot of £50,000. And 2016 is, of course, an Olympic year so there will be many of the individuals and teams destined for Rio competing over the weekend.
If you’re hungry or thirsty, there’s a wide variety of food and drink outlets for you to choose from, all in an informal and relaxed setting. Away from the main arena, there will be the Sheep Show, a humourous educational live stage show about sheep and wool – don’t miss the dancing sheep ! There is also a Shopping Village with 60+ stalls offering a huge range of quality products, from saddlery to high fashion.
Keen equestrian or fun-loving teenager, family or group of friends, Barbury is here to entertain you from 7th-10th July 2016.
